A tusker wreaked havoc in Motu Hanuman village under Koida forest range in Odishalate last night, breaking into a house and killing a woman. The incident occurred when the wild elephant entered the village and began damaging property and consuming stored paddy.

The tusker broke into the house of Phulamani Gudia to feed on paddy. Family members, terrified by the sudden intrusion, ran in panic. In the chaos, Phulamani fell in front of the elephant. The animal trampled her with its legs, killing her on the spot.
