Bhubaneswar, Sept. 6 -- Amidst strict enforcement of the Motor Vehicles Act, Director General of Odisha Police BK Sharma on Friday directed all the Superintendents of Police to launch a new drive to put a check on drunken driving across Odisha.

Implementing a directive of Supreme Court's road safety committee, DGP Sharma has directed the SPs to strictly conduct checking at 14 toll gates and arrest offenders.

As per the circular issued by the DGP, police personnel have been directed to conduct breath analyser and medical tests at the toll gates.
