Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- Mumbai: Director Nishikant Kamat, best known for his films "Drishyam" and "Madaari" passed away at 04:24 PM today in Hyderabad. He was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis for the past two years, reported AIG Hospitals.

The director was undergoing treatment and his health condition was said to be critical as informed by hospital sources.

Kamat, who was suffering from chronic liver disease and secondary infections, was admitted to AIG hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad on July 31.
