Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- A student's journey was tragically halted hours ahead of the matriculation or the class 10 board examination in Odisha. The young pupil, identified as Sekhar Majhi, fell sick and died ahead of the examination. He was declared dead shortly upon reaching the hospital. The sorrowful event took place in Baripada of Bahanaga block in Balasore district.

Sekhar Majhi, son of Kailash Chandra Majhi from a local village, began suffering from severe abdominal pains three days prior to the exam after dining at a neighbour's residence.
