In a dramatic late-night development, two notorious criminals were injured in a police encounter in the Indranipatna area of Choudwar in Cuttack. The joint operation was carried out by the Choudwar Police and the Special Squad, targeting individuals with extensive criminal backgrounds.
The accused have been identified as Katas Raut and Shubhranshu Parida, both of whom have long criminal histories. Further, police sources added that Katas has at least 15 criminal cases registered against him, while Shubhranshu is allegedly involved in over 50 cases, ranging from extortion to armed robbery.
