Bhubaneswar, Nov. 17 -- The National Investigation Agency has made a significant breakthrough in the Red Fort area bombing case with the arrest of a Kashmiri man, accused of aiding the suicide bomber who detonated a vehicle-borne IED on November 10, killing 12 people and injuring 32 others in the heart of the national capital.
The arrested accused, Amir Rashid Ali, a resident of Samboora in Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir, was taken into custody from Delhi after investigators confirmed that the Hyundai i20 used in the blast was registered in his name.
According to the NIA, Amir had travelled to Delhi specifically to help purchase the vehicle that was later turned into an explosive-laden car.
