Bhubaneswar, Nov. 16 -- In a major development in the Delhi car blast case, three cartridges from the explosion site have been confirmed by Delhi police sources. Out of the three cartridges, two were live and one was empty. Sources said it was of 9mm calibre, a firearm type limited to armed forces and restricted from public possession.
"These cartridges are usually only possessed by the armed forces or those with special permission," police said.
According to reports, no pistol or any of its parts were found, indicating that the weapon used in the firing remains missing.
