India, Oct. 3 -- The deep depression over northeast Arabian Sea moved west-northwestwards with a speed of 13 kmph during last 6 hours and lay centered at over the same region, about 240 km westsouthwest of Dwarka, 270 km west of Porbandar, 280 km southwest of Naliya, and 400 km south of Karachi (Pakistan), informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.

As per IMD, it is likely to move west northwestwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is like to move nearly westwards initially and then west-southwestwards and intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during subsequent 24 hours.
