A dead crocodile was spotted floating in the Baitarani River near Aranyanivas under the Chandbali forest range of Bhadrak district, causing concern among locals and wildlife officials.

The crocodile, estimated to be over 5 feet in length, was first noticed by residents on Thursday. However, the exact cause of its death and how it ended up in the river remains unclear. The carcass, seen drifting from Aranyanivas, is reportedly moving towards Dhamara, carried by the river's current.
