The auspicious occasion of Chitalagi Amavasya will be observed with traditional fervour at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Thursday. As part of this unique ritual, the forehead ornaments (Chita) of the sibling deities-Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra-will be ceremonially adorned.

In view of the ritual, public darshan will remain suspended for four hours. According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), darshan of the deities will be restricted from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, following the conclusion of the first Bhogmandap.
