Bhubaneswar, Nov. 28 -- A cyclone may be a reality in the Bay of Bengal next month. The region's top cyclone forecasting agency IMD has today officially hinted at such a possibility.

As per IMD DG Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, the low-pressure area (LPA) that is likely to form over the South Andaman sea on November 30 has the potential to intensify into a cyclonic storm in due course.

Speaking exclusively to OTV, Mohapatra said, "There is a high possibility that the system may intensify into a cyclonic storm.
