KENDRAPARA, Jan. 23 -- National Bravery Award winning sisters Sabita Giri and Purnima Giri of Kendrapara have not only brought pride with their exemplary courage but their efforts have now ushered in developments for school they study in.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced to set up a cyclone shelter at their village school after the sister duo was named to receive the National Bravery Awards from President Ram Nath Kovind on Republic Day eve.
Congratulating the braveheart sisters, Patnaik announced a grant of Rs 1.20 crore for the construction of the cyclone shelter. The building will be used for schooling purpose generally and function as a shelter during natural calamities.
