Bhubaneswar, Nov. 26 -- Two separate weather systems developing over the Bay of Bengal have intensified concerns over the possibility of a winter cyclone, even as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) maintains that neither system is likely to directly impact Odisha.
One of the systems, originating over the Malacca Strait, strengthened into a deep depression late on Tuesday and is expected to evolve into a cyclonic circulation later today as it moves towards the west-northwest.
