Bhubaneswar, Oct. 24 -- A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by October 27, according to IMDBhubaneswar.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across coastal and southern Odishafrom October 27 to 29, while Andhra Pradesh may face the cyclone's main impact.
Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable districts to stay alert as forecasts indicate wind speeds up to 70 kmph and widespread rain.
