India, Jan. 28 -- The millennium city of Cuttack is on the brink of a major urban transformation. Plans are underway to extend the city's borders to the state capital, Bhubaneswar. The initiative is being led by the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA).

Official sources said that the CDA is contemplating bringing urban amenities and integrating 102 nearby villages under its jurisdiction.

Following an extensive survey, the CDA officials have submitted a detailed proposal to the Odisha government. CDA Vice-Chairman, Anam Charan Patra expressed confidence that government approval will be secured soon.
