In a strange twist of fate, a crocodile became an unlikely saviour for a woman who had jumped into the Ganga River to end her life.
The incident took place in Unnao district, where Malti, a middle-aged woman, allegedly took the extreme step after a heated argument with her husband. In despair, she left her house and went to the banks of Ganga, where she leapt into the river, intending to drown.
