Local organisations have intensified their efforts to develop the Brahmani Riverfront and establish a Greater Rourkela Metropolitan Area. Representatives from Rourkela Bikas Manch (RBM) and Sachetan Nagarik Manch (SNM) recently met with RN Pali, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Durga Charan Tanti, urging state intervention.
