In a strong move against corruption, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi ordered the dismissal of Dr. Karunakar Raut, the former Medical Officer of Madhuban Community Health Centre in Jajpur district.
Dr. Raut is currently serving as the Senior Medical Officer in the Mental Health and Cancer Department at Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital.
A case had been registered against Dr. Raut by the Cuttack Vigilance Department, following which departmental proceedings were initiated. He was earlier suspended from duty and subjected to various disciplinary actions.
