Bhubaneswar, Dec. 7 -- Odisha continues to reel under an intensifying cold wave, with temperatures dipping sharply across several regions. Interior and southern districts have witnessed particularly severe conditions, even as the Bhubaneswar regional Met office stated that no significant rise in night temperatures is expected over the next week.

Data recorded over the past 24 hours shows G. Udayagiri emerging as the coldest place in the state at 5.6degC. Other affected locations include Similiguda at 7.5degC, Daringibadi at 8degC, Rourkela at 8.1degC, Phulbani at 8.5degC and Jharsuguda at 8.6degC.
