Bhubaneswar, Jan. 5 -- While the intensity of winter cold has slightly declined across Odisha, dense fog has emerged as a major concern, affecting daily life in many parts of the state. Since early morning hours, a thick blanket of fog has covered several regions, significantly reducing visibility and causing inconvenience to commuters, especially on highways and rural roads.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that dense to very dense fog conditions are likely to persist across the state till the 7th of this month. Northern and interior districts of Odisha are expected to witness more intense fog conditions during this period.
