Bhubaneswar, Nov. 8 -- The CuttackMunicipal Corporation (CMC) carried out a food safety raid at the ongoing Bali Yatra on Saturday morning, inspecting several food stalls to ensure hygiene and quality standards were being maintained. Officials from the Food Safety Department checked food items stored across different stalls and took action against those violating safety norms.
According to reports, stalls that had stored stale and expired food were raided and fined. Several stalls inside the ORMAS section were found selling stale food items, including large quantities of yoghurt that is not good for consumption. The inspection came amid a surge in crowds during Chadakhai celebrations on Friday, when many Odias thronged the fair.
