Bhubaneswar, Feb. 15 -- Amid the ongoing Maha Shivratri celebrations, tension was reported from the Lingaraj Temple in Odisha's capital city after a scuffle reportedly broke out between two groups of servitors inside the shrine premises.

According to sources, the altercation began as a verbal dispute but soon escalated into pushing and physical confrontation between the two groups. The situation turned chaotic for some time inside the temple complex.

Police personnel deployed at the temple intervened to bring the situation under control. However, clashes were also reported between some servitors and police during the intervention.
