Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- In a distressing event captured on CCTV, six armed miscreants barged into the house of Prabhat Das on Thursday night at Botalatanga village under Mangalpur Police limits in Jajpur district. The dacoits decamped with valuables worth lakhs of rupees.

The footage showed these attackers entering the house at around 9.00 PM, wielding weapons and terrifying the family members by aiming guns and discharging blank rounds of gunshots to threaten them.

"I was busy in household works when they (the six dacoits) entered our house. One of them caught my throat tightly and brandished a firearm. Later, he threatened me and other members of the family by opening blank fire," Mandodari Das said.
