In a dramatic rescue operation at the Korukonda area in Malkangiri, the life of a three-year-old child, who had accidentally got his head stuck inside a brand-new steel pot (matka or ghada), was eventually saved.
As per reports, attracted by the shiny utensil, the child was playing with it when his head slipped inside and became trapped.
The pot, made of strong steel, posed a serious challenge. Neither could the child's head be easily removed, nor could the pot be cut without risking injury. The use of a gas cutter was ruled out due to the danger of causing harm to the child.
