Bhubaneswar, Nov. 4 -- At least six people were killed and several others injured when a Korba-bound MEMU passenger train rammed into a stationary goods train near Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The collision caused multiple coaches to derail, prompting massive rescue efforts by NDRF and railway teams.
"The MEMU train coach hit a goods train near Bilaspur station at about 16:00 hours. All measures are being ensured for the treatment of the injured," the Railways said in a statement.Train traffic on the affected section has been temporarily suspended, and restoration work is currently in progress.
