The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) picked up Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) Chief General Manager Akhilesh Verma on Thursday afternoon. The CBI team has taken him to its Bhubaneswar office for questioning, informed sources.
According to sources, Verma was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000.
The investigation is currently underway.
