India, March 30 -- An anti-encroachment and eviction drive began in Bargarh City this morning as the municipal administration staff arrived with bulldozers and began razing several unauthorised structures built on government land under a heavy security blanket.

Sources reported that the encroachment removal drive was being conducted along the stretch of land from Lengu Mishra Square to Ambapali Square. To ensure law and order, BNS 163 has been enforced, and 120 police personnel are deployed on-site, with the district magistrate and authorities from the municipal administration overseeing the operation.
