Bhubaneswar, Dec. 2 -- India on Monday successfully carried out a test launch of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile over the Bay of Bengal, marking another major milestone in the nation's defence capabilities.

The Indian Army conducted the precision strike from a BrahMos unit under its Southern Command, with operational support from the Andaman and Nicobar Command. The missile accurately hit its target, demonstrating exceptional destructive capability and flawless guidance and control systems, defence sources confirmed.
