Bhubaneswar, Nov. 28 -- A crude bomb attack near Kendriya Vidyalaya-3 in the Gadakana area triggered panic in the state capital on Friday morning, prompting the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to begin a high-level inquiry into the incident.

According to sources, a three-member team of the NIA visited the spot and returned after investigation.

The crude bombs were hurled near Gate No. 3 of the school around 8 AM by unidentified bike-borne miscreants, sources said, adding that, though no injuries were reported, the explosion caused damage to the school gate and a portion of the boundary wall.
