India, Feb. 7 -- In a major crackdown against match ticket black marketing for the upcoming cricket showdown at Barabati Stadium, Commissionerate Police-Cuttack arrested seven persons on Friday.
This operation came after four distinct cases were filed, setting off a thorough probe into illicit ticket transactions.
According to police sources, they seized 25 tickets alongside Rs 30,000 in cash during the enforcement drive. Three persons were apprehended in the Dargah Bazaar locality, while Cantonment Police also arrested a group of another four.
