Bhubaneswar, March 1 -- The BJP today lambasted the Odisha government for abolishing State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) and accused it of being anti-people and implementing dictatorial policy.

Addressing a press conference, senior BJP leader Biswa Bhusan Harichandan said, "The State government's act is anti-people. During BJP-BJD coalition government, I had protested BJD's conspiracy. If BJP comes to power in ensuing elections, the SAT will be re-established."

As per norms, the SAT needs to have quorum of eight members but it is now left with only one and there are around 74,000 pending cases. The sole member is now saddled with the responsibility of conducting hearings at the tribunal's principal bench in Bhubaneswar, regular bench in C...
