Bhubaneswar, Dec. 18 -- BJP legislators on Thursday urged CM Mohan Majhi to reconsider the recent hike in MLAs' salaries, citing public sentiment and the need to respect people's opinion. The issue was raised during the BJP Legislature Party meeting, where the MLAs formally conveyed their views to the Chief Minister and sought a review of the decision.
The BJP Legislature Party meeting was held at the party's state headquarters and attended by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, and State BJP President Manmohan Samal. All ministers and party MLAs were also present at the meeting.
