Sundergarh, March 17 -- Amid her cold war with party's Jogesh Singh over Sundergarh Assembly constituency ticket for the upcoming elections, BJD leader Kusum Tete on Sunday resigned as the chairman of Sundergarh Special Development Council (SDC).

In her resignation letter to BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Tete mentioned that her decision to quit from the SDC chairman post was based on personal grounds.

Tete informed that she wants to contest the 2019 polls and so she quit the post. However, she also expressed confidence that the party would grant her MLA ticket from Sundergarh.
