Bhubaneswar, Nov. 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday announced that the government would be withdrawing the farm laws which the farmers had been protesting against for more than a year now. The decision was welcomed by the Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President, Naveen Patnaik.

Taking to Twitter, Patnaik stated that the decision to repeal all 3 farm laws is in the best interests of the country and its farmers. BJD continues to stand with the farmers, he stated.
