Kalahandi, July 25 -- Can a human dead body come alive with rituals? Despite widespread awareness, villagers in remote areas continue to fall prey to superstitions to resurrect the dead. In one such bizarre incident, an occult practitioner performed black magic rituals inside the mortuary of Kalahandi district headquarters hospital in a futile bid to bring a dead man back to life.
Reportedly on Wednesday night, one Satish Gopal of Dumerimunda village in Kesinga was bitten by a venomous snake following which his family rushed him to Kesinga hospital. He was again shifted to Bhawanipatna hospital this morning after his condition worsened. Later when doctors at the hospital declared him dead, his body was kept at the morgue for post-mortem.
