In a surprising turn of events in Bihar's Munger district, a bride fled her wedding mandap after the jai mala (garland exchange) ceremony. The incident occurred in Sajuwa Panchayat under the Asarganj police station area on April 23, 2025.

The bride, Nandini alias Neha Kumari (21), daughter of Arun Mandal, had just completed the jai mala ceremony with groom Amarjeet Kumar of Baijnathpur village. As the rituals continued, Neha ate a rasgulla and told the groom she needed to wash her hands. However, she never returned.
