India, Feb. 7 -- In a significant move towards improving funeral services in the city, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Public Enterprises, and Chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), laid the foundation stone for crematorium at Dumuduma on Friday.

The Minister also inaugurated 22 traffic aid posts at Khandagiri. Babu Singh, MLA (Ekamra), Dr. Umashankar Dash, Additional Commissioner of Police, Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, Vice Chairman of BDA and other senior officials of BDA were also present.

This crematorium reflects the government's commitment to providing dignified and accessible facilities for the deceased and their families, especially as Bhubaneswar evolves into a Smart City. ...
