Bhubaneswar, Nov. 13 -- In a major move to ease traffic congestion in the state capital, the Works Department has decided to remove the traffic post at AG Square and construct a two-layer road system - one underground and one elevated - to ensure smoother traffic flow through the busy junction.

The ambitious project is part of a larger urban mobility plan aimed at addressing Bhubaneswar's rising vehicular pressure.

In addition to this, the department has also proposed the construction of an elevated corridor at Kalpana Square, Khandagiri, and Jayadev Vihar to Nalco Square. The preliminary Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the corridor has already been prepared and was recently reviewed by Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
