Bhubaneswar, Dec. 13 -- The long-neglected Satya Nagar crematorium in Bhubaneswar has been renovated for Rs 3.32 crore, significantly upgrading facilities for the public. The renovated crematorium was inaugurated on Friday by Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, along with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Sulochana Das.

The crematorium had remained in a dilapidated condition for several years, causing inconvenience to residents. The redevelopment aims to provide a dignified and well-equipped space for the last rites of the deceased.
