Odisha is looking beyond conventional urban development by joining hands with Singapore to design and build a futuristic city on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

The project, approved by the state Cabinet, spans 800 acres and carries an investment tag of Rs 8,179 crore. Officials said the initiative will not only change the city's skyline but also reposition Odisha as an emerging urban hub in eastern India.
