India, April 3 -- The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to publish its list of tax defaulters every three months, updating the system from the previous six-month interval, the BMC sources said on Thursday.

According to the sources, this adjustment is aimed at alleviating the financial pressure on significant taxpayer constituents, who often struggled with the deadlines that led to an accumulation of unpaid dues by financial year-end.

By shortening the period between the publication of these lists, taxpayers will have enhanced opportunities to address their dues more proactively, potentially easing their financial load.
