In a major twist to the sensational murder case of woman traffic constable Shubhamitra, the investigation has been elevated to the 'Red Flag' category, further tightening the net around prime accused Deepak Raut.
Crime Branch sources confirmed that the probe will now be conducted under the direct supervision of the Crime Branch DGP. The agency will also provide crucial support to the Commissionerate Police. Additionally, all evidence and inputs earlier collected by the Capital Police Station and Khuntuni Police Station will be thoroughly re-examined to strengthen the investigation.
