Bhubaneswar, Dec. 18 -- Commissionerate Police on Thursday carried out a crime scene recreation in connection with the gang-rape of a minor girl at the Daya River embankment under Dhauli police limits in Bhubaneswar.

The recreation was conducted by the prime accused, Satya Prakash Hati alias Joker Happy, to verify the sequence of events and gather crucial evidence.

According to officials, two associates of the prime accused are still on the run, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest them.

Hati was recently arrested in Ganjam by a joint team of the Special Squad and Dhauli police after remaining absconding since the incident. The prime accused, Joker Happy, has more than 20 criminal cases registered against him.
