Bhubaneswar, Dec. 24 -- In a significant development, the Odisha government has decided to form a new economic region covering Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and Paradip. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. The plan aims to develop cities in the region as growth hubs through improved connectivity and infrastructure.
As part of the economic region, three ring roads with a total length of 645 kilometres will be constructed. Under the Capital Ring Road project, a 432-kilometre road will be built connecting Paradeep to Puri via Tangi, Saptasajya and Rameshwar.
