With January 26 being a public holiday on Monday, just after the weekend, many passengers are planning trips to their hometowns, leading to increased ticket bookings and footfall at the airport.

As per standard operating procedures, security arrangements are tightened every year during Republic Day. Authorities noted that additional time is required for security checks, particularly for luggage screening, due to heightened vigilance during this period.
