Bhubaneswar, Jan. 14 -- The Bhubaneswar International Airport (BPIA) achieved a significant milestone by recording its highest-ever annual passenger traffic, marking a major boost to Odisha's aviation sector.

According to official data, more than 50 lakh (5 million) passengers travelled through the Bhubaneswar airport in 2025, the highest number recorded in a single year since the airport began operations.

This remarkable growth has propelled Bhubaneswar International Airport to the 13th position among the busiest airports in the country in terms of passenger movement.
