Bhubaneswar '6th hottest place in Asia' as heat wave sweeps Odisha
Bhubaneswar, April 5 -- Bhubaneswar was the sixth hottest place in Asia on Friday (April 05, 2024), informed IMD Bhubaneswar Scientist, Umashankar Das.
Das took to his X handle and shared a list of Asia's 10 hottest places on April 5, 2024. In the said list, Bhubaneswar was the 6th hottest with a max temperature of 43.5deg C. Chauk in Myanmar was the hottest place in the continent with a temperature of 45.7deg C on Friday.
As many as 4 places from Myanmar were in the top 5, while Nandyal in India was the 4th hottest place with 43.7deg C today.
As per the day-end data provided by the IMD, Bhubaneswar recorded a temperature of 43.5 degrees C today. By 2:30 PM, mercury in the capital city of Odisha had already touched 43.3deg C.
