Bhubaneswar, Jan. 9 -- In view of the prevailing severe cold wave conditions, the Bhadrak district administration has announced a change in school timings to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

As per the order issued by the District Collector, all schools in the district will function from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays instead of the usual early morning schedule.

The revised timing will come into effect from January 10 and will remain in force till February 14. The decision applies to all government, aided and private schools from Class I to Class XII across Bhadrak district.

The move aims to protect students from exposure to extremely low temperatures during early morning hours, which could adversely affect their health.
