Bhubaneswar, Dec. 14 -- Nearly 19 years after Awarapan failed to impress at the box office but went on to become a cult favourite, the film is ready for a powerful rebirth. Emraan Hashmi returns as Shivam in Awarapan 2, reviving one of the most emotionally resonant characters of his career. Scheduled for an April 3, 2026 release, the sequel introduces Disha Patani as the female lead, while filmmaker Nitin Kakkar takes charge of the romantic drama.

As the film nears the end of its shoot, reportedly, a picture from the Awarapan 2 set has surfaced online, setting social media abuzz. The leaked image shows Emraan Hashmi in a rugged leather jacket paired with a black T-shirt and trousers, reinforcing Shivam's intense persona.
