India, Feb. 2 -- An auto-rickshaw driver named Mitu Das was attacked on Sunday afternoon with a knife by unidentified individuals in Bhubaneswar. The assault occurred in Bharatpur locality, after a ride was scheduled online.

Victim Das is currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital in critical condition.

In response, members of the auto-rickshaw drivers' outfit congregated near Kalinga Studio Square, calling for the swift apprehension of those responsible for the assault.
